Gemma Wootten
Gemma Wootten studied Art, and particularly form through clay, when doing a two year teacher training in the 1970's.
Apart from using watercolours with a local painting group, there was not time to indulge in her own explorations until her retirement from full time work. Given a brief introduction to sculpting with wire in 2005 the medium was something that she immediately took to and has enjoyed the problem solving challenges presented by each animal. She aims to bring animation to each model so that it is focused upon something with its attention caught.
